The Alphabet
The Magic of the Alphabet
Think of the alphabet as a set of building blocks for your brain. When you learn these letters, they turn into pictures and sounds that help you understand the world around you.
We use the English alphabet to build our entire language. Whether you are chatting with a friend or writing a mystery story, you use the exact same 26 letters.
Here is how the magic happens:
1. We snap letters together to build words.
2. We line words up to create sentences.
3. We stack sentences together to tell amazing stories.
Without those 26 little letters, we wouldn’t have books, movies, or even text messages!
We learn the alphabet so that we can cursive write words like water.
