Hi there! I’m Cubbe "D" and I’m a cubic decimeter. Look at the two squares at the top of the page—those are my sides!
Area is the amount of flat space that covers my sides.

Side number one is exactly one square decimeter.
Side number two is made of 100 square centimeters.

Even though they have different names, they are the exact same size. That means 1 square decimeter equals 100 square centimeters!
