Fractions Decimals Percents
The above fractions, decimals, and percentages are exactly the same.
They are interconnected and can be easily converted between each other.
A fraction shows a part over a whole. The number on the top is the numerator (a part of the whole) and the bottom number is called the denominator which is the whole.
A decimal is a way of showing the value of a part using a decimal point. To get that decimal value you simply divide the numerator by the denominator and you will get a decimal value.
A percentage value shows how many parts out of 100. Simply take the decimal value and multiply it by 100. You will have a percentage value.
These three operations are all ratios.
