Fractions Decimals Percents
Fractions, decimals, and percentages are different ways of showing the exact same value. They are all ratios—they show the relationship between a part and a whole.
Fractions show a part over a whole. The top number (numerator) is the part, and the bottom number (denominator) is the total.
Decimals show that value using a decimal point. To find it, simply divide the numerator by the denominator.
Percentages show how many parts there are out of 100. To find this, take your decimal and multiply it by 100 (move the decimal point two spots to the right).
